A people-first approach

As a self-shooting Producer Director (PD) based in London — working across the UK and internationally — I’ve spent over 15 years creating films that put people at the centre. My work starts with understanding the story: what drives it, who it comes from and why it matters. Meeting the brief is important, but I’m most satisfied when a contributor leaves the shoot feeling respected and positive about the experience.

Whether I’m producing branded content, charity films or documentary pieces, I focus on the human details that make a story meaningful. Clients rely on me for a calm, reliable presence and films shaped by a strong sense of narrative.

  • WaterAid - #TeamWater

    #TeamWater is a global fundraising campaign led by MrBeast and Mark Rober in partnership with WaterAid, uniting over 10,000 creators to raise $40 million and bring clean water to 2 million people worldwide.

    The campaign’s content reached millions across platforms, with the Malawi impact film alone gaining over 9 million views on TikTok.

    Created for the launch of the Fujifilm X-T30 III, this short film follows photographer Jess as she shares her creative process and approach to image-making.

    Shot in and around Bath, the film captures an authentic glimpse into how she works — calm, considered, and rooted in genuine passion for her craft.

  • BSI - Human Stories

    This ongoing series explores the human stories behind business certification. Each film focuses on a different organisation partnering with BSI, showing how standards help companies grow responsibly, build trust, and stay true to their values.

    The goal was to move beyond the corporate or technical tone often associated with certification and instead create something warm, authentic, and people-first.

    VolksWagen - Erum's Story

    Erum's story with his cherished Volkswagen T2 Devon Moonraker, a family heirloom filled with memories, took an unexpected turn when it was stolen right from his driveway.

    This incident set him on a months-long journey of uncertainty and hope. Remarkably, Erum spotted the distinctive camper, recognisable by its unique custom modifications done by his father, parked in Peckham.

    Fujifilm GFX100RF - Samuel Bassett

    With the FUJIFILM GFX100RF in hand, Samuel Bassett headed to the mountainous, winding roads of the Swiss-German border, where he planned to tell one such story.

    “My plan was to photograph two cars – one old, one new,” Samuel describes.

How I Work

Working as a Self-shooting Producer Director (PD), I’m able to keep things simple on set: a smaller footprint, fewer distractions, and more space for people to be themselves.

I take the time to understand who I’m filming and what matters to them, because that’s where the story truly sits. With one person directing, shooting and shaping the flow, the whole process stays intuitive and efficient. Clients often appreciate how this approach keeps things calm, focused and cost-effective, without compromising the quality or depth of the story.

My aim is always the same: create a space where people can speak openly, and shape that into a film that feels considered and true to them.

BRITISH SILVER ARROW
AWARD for VOLKSWAGEN: ERUM’S STORY

I’m honoured that Erum’s Story — a film I directed, shot and edited for Volkswagen’s Yourwagen campaign has been recognised with a Silver Arrow at the British Arrows Awards in the Automotive category.

This project meant a great deal to me. As a self-shooting director and editor, I had the opportunity to help share Erum’s experience with honesty and care. Working on this film reminded me why I’m drawn to this kind of work: finding the human thread in someone’s story and shaping it into something that resonates.

COUNT ME IN
Feature-length Netflix documentary

Count Me In celebrates the spirit of drumming and the people who dedicate their lives to rhythm. The film follows a cast of drummers as they reflect on their journeys — from childhood beginnings to performing on some of the world’s biggest stages — and on the musicians who influenced them along the way.

I worked on the documentary as part of the production team, contributing to the film’s interview-led, story-driven approach. Projects like this strongly reflect the style of work I’m drawn to: real people, open conversations, and stories shaped through lived experience.
