Trekstock Cancer Support

Stories of survivorship, told through
lived experience

Created in collaboration with Fujifilm and their charity partner Trekstock, this film was produced alongside a photographic exhibition at the Fujifilm House of Photography exploring life after a cancer diagnosis.

I interviewed each contributor following their portrait session, capturing personal reflections on survivorship, identity and the process of rebuilding a life after treatment. The conversations are intimate, honest and often unexpectedly hopeful — revealing the emotional realities of recovery while celebrating resilience, community and the importance of support networks.

The project was designed to sit beside a series of portraits, giving voice to the stories behind the images. My approach was intentionally unobtrusive, creating space for contributors to speak openly and shape the narrative in their own words. The result is a film that complements the exhibition by foregrounding lived experience — reminding audiences that survivorship is complex, ongoing and deeply human.
