Human-centred, documentary-led films that help charities share important stories, reach new audiences and create meaningful connections with the people who support their work.
A people-first
Approach to documentary filmmaking
Charity filmmaking is where I cut my teeth. It taught me to listen carefully, adapt quickly and find the human story within complex subjects and unfamiliar environments. More than a decade later, those experiences still shape the way I direct, interview and work with people on camera.
As a London-based documentary filmmaker and self-shooting director, I work directly with charities and alongside agencies and production companies across the UK and internationally. From creative development and contributor research to filming, editing and final delivery, I can support an individual part of a production or manage the complete filmmaking process.
AWARD WINNING FILMMAKER
British Silver Arrow Award
for Volkswagen: Erum’s Story
I’m honoured that Erum’s Story — a film I directed, shot and edited for Volkswagen’s Yourwagen campaign has been recognised with a Silver Arrow at the British Arrows Awards in the Automotive category.
This project meant a great deal to me. As a self-shooting director and editor, I had the opportunity to help share Erum’s experience with honesty and care. Working on this film reminded me why I’m drawn to this kind of work: finding the human thread in someone’s story and shaping it into something that resonates.
Have a project in mind?
If you’re developing a documentary-led film, looking for an experienced self-shooting director or simply want to explore an idea, I’d be glad to hear from you.
FEATURE-LENGTH EXPERIENCE
Count Me In
Feature-Length Documentary
Count Me In celebrates the spirit of drumming and the people who dedicate their lives to rhythm. The film follows a cast of drummers as they reflect on their journeys — from childhood beginnings to performing on some of the world’s biggest stages — and on the musicians who influenced them along the way.
I worked on the documentary as the main DOP of the UK production team, contributing to the film’s interview-led, story-driven approach. Projects like this strongly reflect the style of work I’m drawn to: real people, open conversations, and stories shaped through lived experience.
