Documenting the Fujifilm House of Photography 2026 Photo Competition

It was an honour to document the judging process for the Fujifilm House of Photography 2026 Photo Competition, capturing the moments before the winners were announced.

With more than 1,000 photographs submitted, the judging panel faced the difficult task of narrowing the entries down to just three winning images. My role was to quietly observe the process as it unfolded, creating a documentary-style film that reflected the discussion, deliberation and care behind every decision.

As a self-shooting Producer/Director based in London, these are the projects I enjoy most. Rather than overly directing moments, I tend to try and blend into the background, allowing genuine reactions and conversations to happen naturally. The aim is always to create films that feel honest, engaging and true to the people involved.

The finished film was screened during the private view at the Fujifilm House of Photography, moments before the winners were revealed to guests. It was a privilege to help tell the story behind the competition and to give attendees a glimpse into a part of the process that they would not normally see.

Projects like this are a reminder that every event has two stories: the one the audience experiences, and the one unfolding behind the scenes. Often, it's those quieter moments in conversations or the careful consideration and shared excitement that reveal the most.

Whether I'm producing documentary films, brand stories, corporate video content, or event films in London and across the UK, my approach remains the same: to observe with curiosity, pay attention to the details that matter, and create films that connect people with the story behind the moment.
