INTRODUCTION & APPROACHFinding The Story
That Connects Brands
With An Audience
The branded documentaries I find most engaging begin with people: their experiences, perspectives and the details that make a story particular to them. Before thinking about cameras or locations, I take time to understand what the client needs to communicate and where that purpose intersects naturally with someone’s life. This creates a stronger foundation for the film, allowing the brand to be present without overwhelming the person at its centre and giving the audience something meaningful to connect with and remember beyond the film.
My approach combines documentary curiosity with an understanding of the practical demands of branded production. I can help develop initial ideas, research and prepare contributors, direct interviews, capture observational footage and shape the film through the edit. Based in London, I work directly with brands and alongside agencies and production companies across the UK and internationally, either leading the complete filmmaking process or joining an established team for the key stages where I can bring the greatest value.
FEATURED PROJECTRebecca Douglas
Earth, Sea & Sky
Created for Fujifilm UK, Earth, Sea & Sky follows photographer Rebecca Douglas as she works across the changing landscapes of Iceland. The film explores the patience, instinct and close observation behind her photography, while showing how her choice of lenses influences the way she responds to the environment around her.
Filmed over three days in unpredictable conditions, the production was built around a reactive, observational approach rather than conventional interviews. Working with a small footprint allowed the weather, light and Rebecca’s process to shape the story as it unfolded. I produced, directed, filmed and edited the project, delivering a long-form documentary and shorter social versions that demonstrate Fujifilm’s technology through the experience of the photographer using it.

From An Ongoing Collaboration
My work with FUJIFILM UK has grown into one of my longest-standing and most creatively rewarding.
From international documentaries to product launches and photographer profiles, each project has reinforced my belief that technology is most engaging when experienced through the perspective of the person using it.

AWARD WINNING BRANDED CONTENTBritish Silver Arrow Award
for Erum’s Story
I’m honoured that Erum’s Story—a film I directed, filmed and edited for Volkswagen’s YourWagen campaign—was recognised with a Silver Arrow at the British Arrows Awards in the Automotive category.
This project meant a great deal to me. Working as a self-shooting director allowed me to keep the production footprint small and create a calm, focused environment in which Erum could share his experience naturally. Directing, filming and editing the piece also gave me a close understanding of his story throughout the entire process—from the conversation on location to shaping the final film.
It reminded me why I’m drawn to documentary-led work: listening carefully, finding the human thread within someone’s experience and giving it the space to resonate without feeling overly directed or performed.
More Human Stories From
Volkswagen’s YourWagen Campaign
My work on Volkswagen’s YourWagen campaign brought together a series of personal stories shaped by the memories and meaning people attach to their cars.
Each film looked beyond the vehicle itself to explore identity, connection and the experiences carried with it.
