an observational film following Rebecca Douglas

Earth, Sea and Sky is a documentary-led campaign film created for Fujifilm, following photographer Rebecca Douglas as she works across the dramatic landscapes of Iceland.

Filmed over three days in constantly shifting conditions, the project was built around a reactive, observational approach that allowed the environment and Rebecca’s process to shape the story in real time. Rather than relying on structured interviews, the film captures genuine moments as they unfold, focusing on her instinct, patience, and connection to the landscape.

Shot handheld on the Fujifilm GFX ETERNA 55 and designed to feel intimate and immersive, the film explores how different lenses can be used not just as tools, but as a way of seeing.

The result is a tactile, emotive piece that reflects both the unpredictability of Iceland and the quiet discipline behind capturing those moments — an approach rooted in presence, observation, and storytelling.
